Our Projects
Infant Massage USA currently operates two restricted funds, our Humanitarian Fund and our Community Scholarship Fund. Learn more about each below. You can donate to these Funds or our General Fund here.
Humanitarian Fund
IMUSA's Humanitarian Fund is used for projects associated with emergency or crisis situations, under-served populations or similar social issues.
2019/2020 Humanitarian Project
The 2019/2020 Humanitarian Project focused on providing support to US populations affected by Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS). It was planned for October 2019 and continue through 2020.
The project includes providing a donation of infant massage educational materials as well as a donation of a pediatric bolster, the Zaky Hug, to medical centers in areas with high NAS populations across the country.
Infant Massage USA and its volunteers will collect and make available on our website, research and other resources regarding Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, especially as it relates to touch. Infant Massage USA also donated a booklet on NAS research to 200 CEIM Members.
Community Scholarship Fund
IMUSA’s Community Scholarship Fund is used to contribute to offsetting CEIM’s class costs and allowing more parents/caregivers access to infant massage classes
For example, costs to provide an infant massage education class may include things like -
Costs to print marketing materials, handouts or other materials
Costs to provide oil to participants
Transportation costs
Space rental
The CEIM’s time & effort
Example usage: Many CEIMs charge a fee to attend their 5 week group classes. The Community Scholarship could be used to replace or discount the cost of attendance for one or more participants.
